Marlowe Child & Family Services endeavour to reward their staff fully for their skills, dedication and hard work. We try to offer a competitive remuneration package along with good leave arrangements and family-friendly benefits and policies.
The starting salary for a new Therapeutic Care Worker is £14,000.00 per annum, however most full-time staff would expect to earn up to an additional £3,000 per year in sleep-in allowance (£47.44 per night as at June 2011). There are also enhanced hourly rates for working unsocial hours (weekends, bank holidays etc.). The standard rate for overtime is ‘time and half’ for all hours worked over and above 39 hours per week. Additional payments are also awarded for staff starting with relevant level 3 qualifications or above. More senior care staff salaries are in excessive of £20,000 per annum.
Staff who have completed their Probationary Period receive all or part of their salaries in sick pay for extended periods (based on a sliding scale). There is also a Group Contributory Staff Pension Scheme (currently at 3% p.a.), and the company offer enhanced rates of Maternity and Paternity pay.
A Child Care Allowance is given to staff with young children to assist with nursery or child minders fees. 50% of all fees for the first child, 35% for the second and 20% for the third is paid out.
Salaries and Benefits are reviewed annually in negotiation with Union Representatives.
